Melvin Krass, MD, PhD, CCFP, FCFP

Dr. Krass obtained his M.D. in 1970, his Ph.D. in Pharmacology in 1971 from the University
of Manitoba and his C.C.F.P. from McMaster University Medical Centre in 1979.
His medical interests include primary care, group practice and research in primary care.
He has been a member of Niagara Health Services which started with three physicians, himself,
Dr. Ted Dickinson and Dr. Dobbin) back in 1972. Dr. Krass is also a founder member of
Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians.

Stafford Dobbin, MB, BCh, BaO, FCFP

Dr. Dobbin graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast 1967. Post Graduate in Cardiology,
Internal Medicine and ‘barricade’ medicine.  Moved to Niagara Falls in 1972. Founder member
Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians and initiated The Department of Emergency
Medicine, Greater Niagara General Hospital 1976; (Director to until 1988.) He founded Heart
Niagara Inc. 1977 (Medical Director to until 2004), with first structured CPR, ACLS (1978) Paramedic ACLS (1979) and ATLS certification in the Region. He also established Base Hospital at GNGH in 1981 and Emergency Medical Services Committee.

He started Niagara Regional Cardiac Rehabilitation program at YMCA (Exec 1976-1984 and
Medical Director to until 2002.) Medical Consultant to NRCRP sites in Niagara Falls, Fort Erie,
St. Catharine's and Welland.

Initiated Marathon Medical Services, Skylon Marathon (1978); Founder Member and Executive International Marathon Medical Directors Association from 1984. Medical Director US Olympic Marathon Trials 1980 and 1984, World Masters Games, Toronto, 1985.  Staff Physician Boston Athletic Association and Boston Marathon.  Founder Member Canadian Academy of
Sports Medicine.

Founder and Medical Director of The Niagara Schools Healthy Heart Project for all Grade 9
Students in the Niagara Region (1987) and Niagara Elementary Schools CPR teaching

Awarded Glen Sawyer Medal, OMA 1998.  Awarded Ontario Medal of Citizenship 2002.
Dr. Dobbin lives with his wife Susan and a large adopted family of furry and feathered friends.

Ehab Wassif, MD CCFP

Dr. Wassif graduated from medical school in 1995, completing his specialty in Family Medicine at The University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. He has been practicing in the Niagara Region for over 3 years.


Perie Saeed, BSc, MD, CCFP

Dr. Saeed obtained her B.Sc. (Honours) in Biology from Queen’s University in Kingston,
Ontario. She graduated from McGill University Faculty of Medicine in Montreal (M.D. 1987),
and completed her Family Medicine residency training at McGill in 1989. Dr. Saeed joined
Niagara Health Services in 1990. She has a special interest in Pediatrics.


Roxan Guise, MD, FCFP

Dr. Guise graduated from the University of Toronto in 1991. She completed her residency
training in Family Medicine at the University of Western Ontario in 1993. Dr. Guise joined Niagara
Health Services in 1993 and took Dr. Ted Dickinson’s practice over when he retired from the
group. Dr. Guise enjoys biking, golfing and swimming.


Jason Morin, MD, CCFP

Originally from New Brunswick, Dr. Morin graduated from Dalhousie University Medical School (Halifax, N.S.) in 1997. He completed his residency training (Family Medicine) at the University of Western Ontario (London) in 1999 and joined Niagara Health Services in January, 2000.
He considers himself an aspiring food and wine critic and his intertest include skiing and travel. Despite Tom Brady leaving the team, he remains a loyal Patriot's fan.


Julie Lum, MD, CCFP

Dr. Lum graduated from the University of Ottawa in 1990. She completed her residency
training in Family Medicine at the University of Toronto in 1992.  Dr. Lum joined Niagara Health Services in 1995.  Dr. Lum lives with her husband and 2 children.  She enjoys skiing, golfing and swimming.


Michael Nagel, MD, CCFP

Dr. Nagel completed his Bachelor of Science with Honors and his Masters of Science at Brock University.  In 1989 Dr. Nagel completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the CMCC in Toronto.  Dr. Nagel is a new graduate; completing his medical degree in 2005 and his medical residency in 2008.  Dr. Nagel has a keen interest in Sports Medicine.  He lives in the Niagara region with his family, cats, and his siberian husky.  Dr. Nagel enjoys restoring vintage sports cars and has a special interest in mechanical watches.

Eric Zufelt, Bsc, MD, CCFP

Originally from Barrie, Ontario, Dr. Zufelt completed his BSc with Honors in Biology from Queens University in Kingston from 2007-2011.  He remained at Queens for his Medical Degree from 2007-2011.  From there he came to Niagara and finished his Residency in Family Medicine at the McMaster Niagara Family Health Centre in St. Catharines.  Shortly after that he joined the Niagara Medical Group on Queen St. in Niagara Falls in summer 2013. Dr. Zufelt enjoys providing primary care for patients from babies to grandparents and everything in between.  Special interests include preventative care and education in medicine and he is involved with the Niagara Regional Campus of McMaster University. He lives in Niagara Falls with his wife and daughter and their small dog.  He enjoys running, cycling, hockey, squash and fishing in Niagara.

Ryan Hogg, Bsc,MD,CCFP

Dr. Hogg completed his Bachelor of Science with Honors in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo.  Dr. Hogg graduated in 2014; completing his medical degree at the University of Ottawa in 2012 and his medical residency at McMaster University.  After completing his medical residency Dr. Hogg completed 4 months of additional training in palliative care.  He also enjoys performing minor procedures and chronic disease management.  Dr. Hogg lives in Niagara Falls with his wife Kristen and their daughter Emmery.  He enjoys indoor and beach volleyball, as well as, distance cycling.  Dr. Hogg also volunteers at the Southridge Community Church in Vineland with the Migrant Worker Health Clinic.
