Arthritis Rehabilitation and Educational Program

Who we are

Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists from The Arthritis Society have advanced training specifically in the management of arthritis.

How we can help

Therapists are able to assess and provide a variety of services and ideas to help people of all ages living with arthritis.

Examples of some of the things you can learn include:

-how to manage your pain

-exercises to reduce stiffness and increase strength

-how to protect your joints

-devices to help with daily living

 

Getting An Appointment/At the Appointment

 

Your health care provider may refer you to the Arthritis Rehabilitation and Educational Program or you can ask your health care provider if this program would be right for you. You can also contact the Arthritis Society directly at 905-646-7284

 

Therapists from The Arthritis Society are available twice a month at Niagara Medical Group to see patients who have confirmed diagnosis of some form of arthritis.  Appointments are arranged with you by The Arthritis Society. These services are covered by the Ministry of Health.

 

Appointments with the therapists usually last 1 hour in length. Please check in at your physician's office for your appointment.
